After 5 years and 72 appearances he signed for Dundee, where brilliant performances brought him to the attention of Celtic after winning the First Division. He moved to Celtic in 2000 and was part of the team that reached the UEFA Cup Final in 2003. He faced competition in the 2004-05 season and decided to leave at the end of it to try his luck in England, signing for Leicester City. He was unable to stop the Dees being relegated back to the First Division last season and was released at the end of the season after a new manager was appointed.
