Forfar Athletic suffered their first pre-season defeat at Tuesday as they were beaten 2-1 by Highland League side Inverurie Loco Works.

Forfar came close to opening the scoring early on with Ousman See seeing a volley fly wide of the post.
Inverurie took the lead just after the half hour mark through Jordan Leyden; the attacker deceiving Marc McCallum before firing home.
They were further ahead before the break as Neil Gauld forced his way through the Loons defence before firing home.
Neither side came close to scoring through the majority of the second half until Andrew Hunter’s header went wide of the mark.
Sub Marc Scott impressed after coming on with a couple of efforts before Mark Millar saw his free kick hit the top of the crossbar.
Matthew Aitken grabbed a consolation in injury time when a cross into the box was knocked down by a trialist and Aitken sidefooted past Booth.
The Loons wrap up their pre-season schedule on Saturday when they host Nairn County.
