Forfar continued their excellent pre-season form with another fine win and clean sheet against Highland League side Huntly.
The match was keenly contested by both sides and the Loons went one goal up within a minute of kick-off when Ross Campbell was clattered by the home keeper as he tried to finish a cross from the right. Ian Campbell stepped up to confidently fire the ball home from the spot. Ross Campbell and trialist Omar Kader both went close as the first half came to an end.
Early in the second half Chris Templeman put the Loons two up, again from the spot, as Ross Campbell’s header was handled on the line after Michael Bolochoweckyj had seen his headed effort come back off the crossbar. Forfar scored a third when the home keeper misjudged a through ball and Martyn Fotheringham’s persistence was rewarded with a goal. Late on Michael Bolochoweckyj headed home to make in four for the Loons.
