Forfar Athletic’s 17th Annual Sportsmans Dinner will be held as usual in the Reid Hall on Friday May 18th 2012.
The Dinner still remains one of the club’s major fund raising events in the calendar year and the club officials were delighted last year when the sold out signs were posted despite the economic climate.
For the first time in a few years the line-up this time round is exclusively from north of the border. Both main speakers will be making their first appearance at the event and in fact their first in the ‘toonie'. Top QC Donald Findlay also current chairman of Cowdenbeath Football club and formerly a Director of Rangers is joined by former FIFA referee Kenny Clark a lawyer in everyday life but also a Sun columnist and a regular contributor on Sportscene and Sportsound. Both are accomplished after dinner entertainers, both very humorous though very different in content and delivery.
Lanarkshire based comedian Patrick Rolink makes a return appearance to provide his own brand of comedy and he will also compere the evening.
The Directors have pegged the price at £350 for a table of ten people which of course includes the usual three course meal followed by cheese/biscuits, coffee etc.
Anyone requiring further detail on the event should contact David McGregor on 07871165689 or 01307 464924.
