Double Signing for the ‘Loons’

Saturday, 01 July 2017 10:14

see ousmanForfar Athletic completed the signing of Edinburgh City striker Ousman See and former Livingston midfield player Mark Millar at their St. Andrews training base this morning.

Ousman who is Edinburgh based and 22 years of age joined City from Selkirk two seasons back.   He impressed against the ‘Loons’ last term in both his own and his club’s debut season in the SPFL.   A compensation payment has been agreed between the clubs to facilitate the move.

Mark began his senior career with Celtic back in 2009, before a loan spell at Hungarian outfit Ujpest.   He then moved on to Falkirk, Dundee United, Peterhead and Queen of the South before moving to Almondbank earlier this year.
He made three appearances for the Scotland Under 19 side earlier in his career as well as having one outing for the Under 21 side.

Needless to say Gary Bollan is delighted with the acquisition of both players and further signings are in the pipeline to bolster the squad ahead of the opening Betfred Cup tie on the 18th of the month.

A goalkeeper is high on the priority list as Grant Adam is currently sidelined through illness which could well see him miss the opening weeks of the campaign.

The club would also announce that Gavin Swankie has been put on the transfer list.

Sadly Gavin who has one year of his current contract to run has intimated to club officials that he no longer wishes to play for the ‘Loons’ and he has to date refused to train with his colleagues.

It is a disappointing scenario that looks to have brought a five year stay at Station Park to a premature end and reluctantly the club have agreed to listen to offers for the player.
