FORFAR ATHLETIC SUPPORTERS' CLUB

Supporters have an important role to play in the running of part-time football clubs such as Forfar Athletic Football Club. And, when it
comes to fund-raising ventures, the small but enthusiastic membership of the Forfar Athletic Supporters’ Club continually comes up trumps.
At the end of the 2008-09 season, the Supporters’ Club presented cheques totalling £27,000 to the club, following a number of ventures
held throughout the season. £12,000 of the funds raised will be used to help with safety improvements to Station Park. The Supporters’
Club relies on the support of the local community and would like to thank everyone who helps with and attends Supporters’ Club events.
In particular a huge thank you goes to Rhona, Laura and their team who run the ‘Pie’ Shop at every home game. The shop continues to be one
of, if not the best, in Scottish Football for quality, selection and service. The team give their time on a voluntary basis and their hard work
is very much appreciated.

SUPPORTERS' CLUB MEMBERSHIP
|
|
It only costs £5 to join the Supporters’ Club for a year and, for that, fans can enjoy the sanctuary of a portable building to the west of
the main stand on match days. It is a chance for members to meet each other over a cuppa at half time, and keep up to date with the
various fund-raising ventures planned for the season.

|
SUPPORTERS' CLUB MEETINGS
|
|
Meetings normally take place the third Thursday of each month at Station Park during the season. The next meeting will take place on Thursday
21st January 2010 at 7.30pm at Station Park. Supporters’ Club members are welcome to attend – contact any of the Committee below via the email
link on the Contact page of this website to confirm the date of the next meeting.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS

BURNS SUPPER - FRIDAY 29TH JANUARY 2010
The Supporters Club next event is a Burns Supper to be held on Friday 29th January 2010 at the Plough Inn, Market Street, Forfar. The evening commences at 7.15p.m. and tickets are priced at £20 per person which includes a three course meal, cheese & biscuits, tea & coffee. Your ticket price also includes two toasts. MC for the evening is Dick Campbell for what is sure to be a most enjoyable evening. On the 1st May 2010 there will be an End of Season Players Awards Evening and Buffet/Dance to be held in the Reid Hall. More details will follow.

MERCHANDISE
|
|
While merchandise is no longer organised by the Supporters’ Club we are pleased to support Loons
Direct which has opened a shop just inside the ground next to the turnstiles. Run by Cameron
Davidson and his helpers, Loons Direct offers a range of Forfar Athletic merchandise including
hats, scarves, badges, home strips and a number of other items before home games, at half time and
immediately after the match.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS
|
|
The Supporters’ Club organises the Player of the Year awards with a number of honours handed out. Claire Taylor, who assists at many
Supporters’ Club events and at half time in the Supporters’ Cabin the 2008-09 winners with their trophies prior to the last home game of
the season against Dumbarton:
Player of the Year - Ross Campbell
Players' Player of the Year - Stephen Tulloch
Travelling Supporters' Player of the Year - Stephen Tulloch
Young Sky Blues' Player of the Year - Johnny Russell
Top Goalscorer – Ross Campbell
Voting for the Player of the Year and Away Player of the Year takes place towards the end of
the season.
