Fixtures

There is no great need for a lengthy preview of this Saturday’s visit to Cliftonhill.
Following last Saturday’s disappointing to say the least performance against Airdrie, a victory and a three point haul from the match with Albion Rovers is almost a must for the ‘Loons’ in their battle to avoid relegation.
The Station Park squad should take some comfort and hope from the fact that the Coatbridge side are the only club in the Ladbrokes League One to have not inflicted a defeat on them this season to date. The home side have triumphed on both occasions at Station Park, a late winner from Steven Craig sealing the points in the latest joust between the sides in February, a 1-1 draw the verdict in North Lanarkshire in December.
Forfar will go into the game with what seems the inevitable selection headaches at present with Thomas O’Brien and Kerr Hay ruled out through suspension and a few others due late fitness checks.
Andy Ryan and Scott Martin will return to the fold after serving one match bans last weekend.
Albion managed by Derek Young’s brother Darren confirmed their League One status following promotion last April, with a home draw against Cowdenbeath last Saturday.
Saturday’s vital encounter for the visitors will be refereed by first season Grade One Tayside based official Mike Roncone who has taken charge of the ‘Loons’ last two derby fixtures with their Glebe Park counterparts.
