Andy Munro – seventh summer signing

Gary Bollan completed the capture of his seventh close season signing this evening when 23 year old Edinburgh based central defender Andy Munro put pen to paper on a one year contract.

Andy who played as a trialist in Tuesday evening’s pre-season friendly against Raith in fact began his senior career back in 2013 with the Kirkcaldy club.

He moved to Arbroath at the start of last season and subsequently made 26 starting appearances for the Gayfield outfit.

However Dick Campbell decided not to offer him a new deal with the ‘Lichties’ and Andy has been on Gary’s radar since.

He also impressed the Forfar management team at the recent SPFL exit trials at Cumbernauld.

An eighth newcomer to the ‘Loons’ ranks is on the cards with hopefully further news on this front over the coming weekend.
