Murray signs one year deal

Nineteen year old defender Murray MacKintosh signed a one year professional contract with the ‘Loons’ prior to yesterday’s victory over Berwick Rangers.

Murray who has been a regular to date this season in the right back position came to the attention of our Development team coaches midway through last season after he moved from his native Kilwinning in Ayrshire to study at Abertay University.

He subsequently became a regular in the Development side in the latter part of the campaign and his progress through the Station Park ranks has been evident to all since pre-season fixtures commenced in late June.

Murray had been on an amateur registration with the Athies, but has now been rewarded with his first ‘pro’ deal.
