Forfar athletic head up the A9 on Tuesday 15th August to meet Ross County’s Under 20 side in the first round of the Irn Bru Cup.
There are one or two changes to the format of the competition this season, one of them being that the colts teams can field two over age players in their starting line-up.
There is also one round less this time round, meaning a 24 tie first round card next midweek.
Only Falkirk and Inverness Caledonian Thistle of the competing SPFL clubs have a bye.
Two teams from the League of Ireland will also join their counterparts from the Irish and Welsh Leagues in the second round draw.
Next Tuesday’s fixture at the Victoria Ground or Global Energy Stadium as it is now known will have a 7.30p.m. kick-off.
Admission has been set at £5 with Under 18’s being admitted free of charge.
