Forfar Athletic get their Development League East campaign underway this evening when they make the long journey south over the border to face Berwick Rangers.
The Shielfield Park side made an impressive start to the league last week with a 4-1 victory over Cowdenbeath at New Central Park. This result means Berwick sit joint top of the table with Livingston who also enjoyed a 4-1 away victory at Alloa last midweek. The other opening fixture ended nil-nil between Stirling Albion and Raith Rovers.
With seven teams competing in this year’s league, it will mean one team sitting out each round of fixtures hence Forfar's later start this season.
This week's other matches see a Fife derby when Raith Rovers take on Cowdenbeath with Stirling Albion playing Livingston - both tomorrow evening.
A wee reminder that the Loons face Raith Rovers in their second league match next Tuesday at Station Park. 7.30pm kick-off and free entry.
Coach Barry Sellars and assistants, Eddie and Arty Gray, are appreciative of the support given to the Development squad in recent seasons and hope that a few Loons will venture out again this year to back the lads in what are usually entertaining encounters.
