Betfred Cup
The Betfred Cup group stages get underway this coming Friday evening with a televised tie between Hearts and Dundee United at Tynecastle.
Forfar Athletic were drawn in Group B of the competition alongside Premiership outfits St. Johnstone and Ross County as well as Angus neighbours Brechin City and Montrose.
The ‘Loons’ kick-off their sectional ties with a visit from the Glebe Park outfit on Saturday first, the full details of their four fixtures as follows;-
Saturday, July 13th – Forfar Athletic v Brechin City at Station Park – ko 3 p.m.
Saturday, July 20th – Montrose v Forfar Athletic at Links Park – ko 3 p.m.
Wednesday, July 24th – Ross County v Forfar Athletic at the Global Energy Stadium – ko 7.45p.m.
Saturday, July 27th – Forfar Athletic v St. Johnstone at Station Park – ko 3 p.m.
Admission charges to all fixtures in Group B are – Adults £12 Concessions £6
A reminder that Forfar Athletic season tickets are not valid for the two home group fixtures.
The eight group winners and the four best-placed runners up qualify for the knock-out stage of the competition where they will be joined by the four sides who qualified for Champions or Europa League participation this season, namely Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.
