Betfred Cup Second Stage Draw

The draw for the eight-second stage fixtures in the Betfred Cup will be made live on BT Sport this afternoon following the conclusion of the Dundee v Inverness Caledonian Thistle tie.

The ‘Loons’ will be one of the non-seeded sides in the draw, the seeded sides being Scotland’s four European representatives and the four group winners with the best record.

This means that the eight seeded sides will be Celtic, Rangers, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Ross County, Hibernian, Motherwell and Livingston.

In other words Forfar Athletic in fact have a one in eight chance of a second fixture with Group B winners Ross County, a strange scenario indeed!
