Edinburgh City head for Station Park

League Two side Edinburgh City will be the ‘Loons’ opponents in the third round of the Scottish Cup at Station Park on January 30th after their 1-0 victory over Airdrieonians in Lanarkshire this afternoon.

Both sides will go into the tie with the great incentive of a fourth-round berth up for grabs.

The teams have met once before in the cup, during City’s first season in the SPFL.

Following a 0-0 scoreline in a second-round tie at Meadowbank in October of 2016, the Capital City side won the replay at Station Park ten days later by the only goal of the contest.
