Scottish Cup next up for the ‘Loons’

Along with the other nine cinch league2 sides, Forfar Athletic join thirty non SPFL clubs at the second round stage of the Scottish Cup competition this coming weekend.

In fact 19 of the ties will be played on the Saturday, the exception the clash between Clydebank and Elgin City which will be televised live on the BBC Scotland channel on Monday evening of next week.

Gary Irvine and his squad will head north to face Highland League side Formartine United at North Lodge Park in Pitmedden.

Formartine currently sit seventh in the Highland League with 25 points from 13 games played.

The kick- off is at the normal time of 3p.m.

By utilising the Aberdeen By Pass, Pitmedden is these days a comfortable 70/75 minute car journey from Forfar.

Admission prices on the day are £10 for adults, £5 concessions.
