A final matchday thank you of the season sadly.
Despite the tremendous effort and application shown by the players yesterday, our season has come to an end.
To finish second in the league table was a great achievement but of course, to fail at the semi-final stage of the play-offs is equally a disappointment.
However, there was much to enjoy over the course of the season and we look forward to the challenges the 2022/3 season will bring.
Back to yesterday’s game and a big thank you to the 868 spectators who turned up to support their respective sides.
Special mention to the home support who could not be faulted, their support from the first whistle to the last was tremendous and was so much appreciated as it has been all the way through the campaign.
Thanks go to our match sponsor Jamie Milne of J. Milne Electrical Ltd.
Jamie is a great supporter of the ‘Loons’ cause throughout the campaign and even had to carry out a quick repair job on arrival yesterday afternoon on an electrical fault in the kitchen area.
Thereafter Jamie and his party enjoyed their day, despite the end result, choosing Stefan McCluskey as their man of the match.
A big thank you as well to Ewan Phillip of Scotia Forecourt Services and Mike Watt of Mike Watt Construction for taking up a hospitality package and finally to Ian Wilson who organised a party of twenty friends and colleagues from the farming industry, occupying both the Doug Houston and Stewart Kennedy Lounges on the day.
