‘Huskies’ next up for ‘Loons’

Forfar Athletic will complete their pre-season programme of fixtures when the award-winning Washington Huskies, the soccer team of the Washington State University based in Seattle visit Station Park on Wednesday evening, the kick-off at 7.45p.m.

The ‘Huskies’ have already played two fixtures on their five-game Scottish tour.

They drew 1-1 with a strong-looking Ayr United side on Thursday evening of last week, before heading north to defeat Highland League Nairn County 6-0 yesterday afternoon.

They are due to play an Aberdeen X1 on Monday.

On the evidence of their two results so far they will undoubtedly provide a stiff test for Gary Irvine’s side.

Admission prices on Wednesday evening are £10 for adults, £5 for those 65 & over and £3 for Under 17’s.

Forfar Athletic season tickets are valid for the game.

Two important points for supporters to note.

The 1984 Lounge at the ground will be open from 6.30 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. but will not re-open on the final whistle.

Secondly, due to the holiday commitments of our supplier, no Bridies or Pies will be available on the night at the refreshment kiosk.
