Stirling Albion officials have been in touch with their Forfar Athletic counterparts with the almost inevitable news that it will require a miracle for Saturday scheduled cinch league 2 fixture to get the ‘green light.’
The Forthbank playing surface has been subjected to a near week of sub zero temperatures and heavy overnight frosts and is icebound and rock solid.
It is likely that an early inspection will be requested, possibly even on Friday.
The good news for both clubs is they do have a spare Saturday to slot the fixture in.
With both clubs not sadly involved in the Scottish Cup fourth round, there is an opportunity to re-arrange the game for Saturday January 21st.
