Another Away Day for the ‘Loons’

Forfar Athletic will be on their Scottish Cup travels again following the third round draw made by Scott Brown at Hampden Park earlier this evening.

Tranent in East Lothian will be the destination for ‘Loons’ players, management and fans for a tie against the highly ambitious Lowland League outfit Tranent FC.

It will be the first ever meeting between the sides.
Tranent currently sit in fourth place in the Lowland League table, seven points behind joint leaders East Kilbride and Cumbernauld Colts but have four games in hand on both.

In this season’s Scottish Gas sponsored Scottish Cup competition, they beat East of Scotland side Hutchsion Vale 4-1 at home in round one, following that up with a pretty sensational 7-0 success again on home soil yesterday when East Kilbride were their opponents.

The third round clash at Foresters Park is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday November 25th.
