The Spartans v Forfar Athletic

Following on their 1-1 home draw with Stranraer, the ‘Loons’ are on the road this coming Saturday, the capital City of Edinburgh the destination for a first ever league meeting at Ainslie Park against The Spartans.

Of course the Athies have met Spartans at their home ground on a previous occasion on Scottish Cup duty while they have also played SPFL football at the venue when Edinburgh City were utilising the ground as their teomporary ‘home.’

Spartans who currently sit fourth in the league table on the twenty point mark did not have a game on Saturday past, their scheduled fixture away to East Fife failing to beat the wintry weather.

The sides fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Station Park in mid September.
Saturday’s contest has the normal 3p.m. kick-off and a full preview will appear on FAFC social media channels on Friday as normal.
