Stranraer v Forfar Athletic – Supporters Information

On the back of a current seven game unbeaten run in the cinch league2, the ‘Loons’ head to Wigtownshire on Saturday first to play Stranraer as the third quarter of the league campaign comes to a close.

The match at Stair Park will have the normal 3p.m. kick-off and admission charges are as follows;

Adults £15
Concessions £10
Under 16’s £5

Payment by cash or card at the turnstiles.

Forfar Athletic officials and players were delighted with the substantial turnout of supporters at Methil on Saturday past and fully realise that not so many will be intending or able to make the lengthy journey this coming weekend. For those that are there is some important and disappointing news on the road closure front.

The A77, the main route to Stranraer from South Ayrshire is to be completely closed all weekend just south of Cairnryan meaning a detour that will add a minimum of 30 minutes to the journey.

At the south end of Girvan, it will be necessary to take the A714 and head for Newton Stewart where your pick up the A75 Dumfries to Stranraer route which passes right by the gates of Stair Park as you enter the town.
