Edinburgh City v Forfar Athletic – Match Information

The ‘Loons’ will pay their first visit to the revamped Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday first as they return to league action following their cup tie victory. Michael McIndoe’s Edinburgh City their opponents.

City also tasted cup tie success over the past weekend in a close encounter, clinching a penalty shoot–out success in the Fair City against Jeanfield Swifts to progress to the third round and with it a home tie against Dunfermline Athletic.

The Athies will go into this weekend’s contest determined to avenge a 3-0 defeat from the ‘Citizens’ at the Alpha Projects Stadium @Station Park back in August, one of the real low points of the season to date for Ray McKinnon and his players.

Both teams currently sit on the nine point mark and certainly Stuart Morrison and his colleagues will head to the Capital City in confident mood following improved showings especially in defence in recent weeks.

Away fans are allocated sections A&B of the stand, with access also available to a hard standing area at the east end of the seated area. Entry via the east gate of the ground.
