Fixtures
Firstly once more today a big pat on the back to the Forfar Athletic supporters for turning out in such excellent numbers for last night’s fixture with Peterhead at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park.
A crowd of 522 was excellent, especially considering the heavy rain that hit the town in the hour before kick-off.
Those present certainly witnessed a tense, hard fought encounter with a draw just about the right result at the end of the day in a match which had to say the least it’s lively moments and was not without the odd bit of controversy.
The home faithful are without doubt buying into the new regime at Station Park and all would appear to be encouraged and rightly so by the positive steps being engineered on the park by Jim and Gavin in the still early weeks of their respective returns to the club.
Thanks also to Thorntons Solicitors who were the sponsors of the match, Cammy Logan chosen as their man of the match on the night.
Representatives of all five parties who enjoyed the delights of hospitality packages on the original match day which saw the match postponed decision made at 12.30pm were in attendance at last night’s fixture into the bargain, thanks again to all and in particular Daniel Buchan, Jamie Milne, Ryan Todd, Keith Thomson and Pauline Lindsay who were the prime organisers of their respective groups.
Following the trip to face Clyde this coming weekend, Stirling Albion will be the visitors to Forfar on the final Saturday of the calendar year.
