Fixtures
As previously intimated Forfar Athletic will pay tribute to one of their own, club legend Alex Brash who sadly passed away last week, at this Saturday’s important home game with Stranraer.
The Directors of the club are delighted that Alex’s wife Jan, sons Mark and Kris and their families will be in attendance as guests at the fixture when of course the club flag will be flown at half mast throughout.
Club officials are equally delighted that four of Alex’s grandchildren will act as match mascots on the day and lead the teams and match officials on to the field of play.
Then prior to kick-off, officials, players, management teams and most importantly Forfar Athletic supporters will get the opportunity to pay tribute to the central defender, the club’s third highest appearance holder of all time by participating in a period of applause.
Hopefully the ninety minutes that lie ahead will also prove to be a fitting tribute to one of, if not the most wholehearted player ever to wear a ‘Loons’ jersey.
Ian McPhee captain of the title winning team of 1984 and quite a few of Alex’s team mates from his time with the ‘Loons’ are also to be in attendance to pay their respects on pitch to their much loved colleague.
