Stranraer v Forfar Athletic – Match Information

The ‘Loons’ return to William Hill League2 action on Saturday first with Stranraer their opponents at the Eco Gen Stadium @ Stair Park.

Both sides had a pleasant interlude from the thirty six match league programme on Saturday past, both recording victories over non league opponents in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup second round. While the Athies were triumphing 2-1 at Musselburgh, Chris Aitken’s side recorded a comprehensive 4-0 home success against West of Scotland League outfit Glenafton Athletic.

The ‘Blues’ currently sit in ninth spot in the league table, four points adrift of the ‘Loons’.

The sides of course met at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on the opening day of the league campaign, a Stuart Morrison first half counter sealing all three points for the home side.
