Development Team News – Raith clinch the three points at Kelty

The young ‘’Loons’ winning run which had extended to five games came to an end at New Central Park, Kelty last night when they lost 3-0 to Raith Rovers in an SPFL Development League East fixture.
Forfar went behind due to a defensive mix up on the 25 minute mark, this after they had the better of the exchanges in the first quarter of the contest.
During that period, Ben Starkey had brought an excellent save out of the home keeper and Matty Aitken hit the woodwork.
One nil up at the break, Rovers increased that lead twenty minutes into the second period, netting a third with six minutes left on the clock as gaps appeared in the visiting rearguard as they threw men forward in a vain attempt to get back into the contest.
No doubt the Station Park squad will be all out to return to winning ways next midweek, when Livingston are the visitors to Station Park on Tuesday evening.
