Price of Football Survey - 'Loons' fans getting good deal

The BBC Sports Department have today published their annual survey on the price of attending a senior football match throughout the UK and Forfar Athletic supporters in particular and those in League One in general would appear to be getting a good deal.
At eight of the ten grounds in our league adult supporters can gain admission, a pie, a cup of tea and a programme for under £20. Most clubs at our level also offer subsidised season tickets for the younger generation while replica kit is certainly competitively priced in comparison to higher up the footballing ‘ladder.’
At Station Park for example a supporter can enjoy the cheapest cup of tea/coffee and a pie in the whole of Scottish senior football at a cost of £2, while only Peterhead in the league offer a cheaper admission price, neighbours Brechin City the only club who have a slightly more competitive replica kit offer.
We also fare well on season ticket prices and it always has to be remembered that at many clubs, season’s are only valid for league fixtures and do not cover friendlies or any cup ties whatsoever.
This makes comparisons difficult, with the Station Park season covering all except Scottish cup ties.
The cost of watching football at the top level south of the border is staggering in comparison, while even north of the border the inclusion of the ‘big three’ in the second tier this term has seen prices generally escalate by over ten per cent in the Championship.
