Betfred Cup Draw

The draw for the group stages of the Betfred League Cup was made on BT Sport earlier this evening.

In the seeded/regionalised draw the ‘Loons’ were drawn in Group A  of the Northern Section.

Their two seeded opponents will be  neighbours Dundee and Dumbarton while the two other non seeded teams in the group are Peterhead and East Fife.

The four group fixtures are due to take place between July 16^th and 30^th, with the fixture schedule due to be released next week by SPFL officials.

Group A – Dundee, Dumbarton, Peterhead, Forfar Athletic, East Fife

Group B – St. Johnstone, Falkirk, Brechin City, Stirling Albion, Elgin City

Group C – Inverness Caley Thistle., Dundee United, Dunfermline Athletic, Arbroath, Cowdenbeath

Group D – Ross County, Raith Rovers, Alloa athletic, Cove Rangers, Montrose

Group E – Partick Thistle, Queen of the South, Stenhousemuir, Queens Park, Airdrieonians

Group F – Motherwell, Rangers, Stranraer, East Stirling, Annan Athletic

Group G – Hamilton Accies, St. Mirren, Edinburgh City, Livingston, Ayr United
