‘Loons’ sign striker

Late last night the ‘Loons’ completed the signing of twenty year old striker Josh Peters on a one year contract.
Josh who hails from Aviemore came to prominence through his goal scoring prowess with Highland League minnows Strathspey Thistle.
He moved south to Hibernian during the course of last season but was released in recent weeks by the Easter Road club.
This was despite a more than reasonable goal tally for their Under 20 side including a hat trick against Dundee United.
He has been on trial in pre-season with Dumbarton and Berwick Rangers but Gary Bolan has been tracking his progress throughout and was delighted when Josh agreed to put pen to paper for the Station Park club.
Josh becomes the Athies gaffer’s ninth summer signing and if clearance comes through this morning from the SFA, he will go straight into the ‘Loons’ pool for this afternoon’s Betfred Cup clash with the ‘Sons.’
