Another new face in ‘Loons’ squad

Forfar Athletic completed the signing this morning on a short term contract of 22 year old former Stenhousemuir striker Allan Smith and he goes straight into the pool for tonight’s Irn Bru Cup cup tie against Aberdeen’s Under 20 side.

Allan has been training with the ‘Loons’ for the past couple of weeks and came on as a late substitute in Saturday’s win over Cowdenbeath, having been listed on the day as a trialist.

Allan who originally hails from the Borders began his career on a youth form with Hibernian, before returning to Gala Fairydean.

He then had four year spell with Dunfermline Athletic, before spending last term at Ochilview.
