Gary Bollan moved quickly tonight to fill the void left by Darren Hill’s departure by signing 19 year old Dundee United goalkeeper Brett Long on a Development transfer till mid January.
Brett who hails from Newtonabbey in Northern Ireland signed for the Tannadice club on a two year contract in June following a three year stint with Motherwell where he was part of the ‘Steelmen’s’ victorious Scottish Youth Cup winning side last term.
Brett has represented his country at Under 19 level.
Under the terms of the Development transfer, Brett will also continue to be a part of United’s midweek SPFL Development League squad.
