Of The Loons
In an effort to hopefully entice a few extra fans from around the Tayside area to the ‘Loons’ historic first ever competitive clash with a team from out with Scotland in the fourth round of the Irn Bru Cup on Saturday October 8th, Athies officials are delighted to announce that reduced admission charges have been agreed for the tie.
Prices for the much anticipated clash with Welsh League Champions New Saints at Station Park will be £10 for adults, £5 concessions.
While the Station Park players were making it six wins out of six on Saturday past with victory over Stirling Albion, New Saints were also retaining their own one hundred per cent league record to date with a 5-1 home win over Bala Town in a match which was televised live by Welsh channel SC4.
Somewhat surprisingly the two teams meet again tonight in league action, while Gary Bollan and coach Ian Flaherty will make the trip south this Sunday to Oswestry to watch the Saints in action against Carmarthen Town.
It all makes for a very interesting tussle come early October, but prior to that Gary and his troops will be totally focussed on upcoming Ladbrokes League 2 clashes with Clyde and Montrose.
