While the ‘Loons’ were losing their unbeaten league record to near neighbours Montrose on Saturday past, their Irn Bru fourth round opponents New Saints were making it ten wins from ten starts in the Welsh Premier League with a 5-1 win over Aberystwyth Town at Newtown.
New Zealand international striker Greg Draper netted a hat-trick for the Welsh Champions, Aaron Edwards and former Motherwell and Ross County defender Steven Saunders who made one Scotland appearance back in 2010 their other scorers.
New Saints now visit Bala Town in the Welsh League Cup on Tuesday evening before heading north on Friday.
Saturday’s tie at Station Park has the normal 3p.m. kick-off.
Admission prices are £10 for adults, £5 concessions (65 & over and under 17’s)
Forfar Athletic season tickets are not valid for this fixture.
The 1984 Lounge which will be enlarged on the day as the Sponsors Lounge is not in use for that purpose, will be open from 12.30p.m. until kick-off and on the final whistle till approximately 7.30p.m. with all supporters welcome to enjoy a refreshment or two.
