Of The Loons
The ‘Loons’ SPFL Development League East fixture against Berwick Rangers scheduled for tomorrow evening at Prestonpanns has not surprisingly also fallen victim to the weather.
It is not a major headache with the youngsters having only three league matches remaining.
They are due to play Stirling Albion on the Forthbank Astro on Monday of next week, before entertaining Cowdenbeath on Tuesday the 20th of the month.
The Berwick fixture will be re-arranged for a midweek date in early April.
Station Park itself was due to be utilised by Dundee United and Aberdeen on Monday and Tuesday respectively for Development League fixtures this week but both games had to be postponed.
The heavy rain overnight has however improved the state of the playing surface and the ‘Loons’ first team squad will get a training session completed this evening on at least part of it as they begin preparations for the trip to Arbroath on Saturday.
Conditions in the proximity of the ground especially at the rear of the main stand remain the worst many can remember with the main door and turnstile entrances at present barely accessible on foot!
