Ladies Dinner – Another Night to Remember
[Sunday, 31 March 2019 16:39]
Well over 200 patrons had a ‘ball’ at the ‘Loons’ annual Ladies Dinner in the Reid Hall on Friday evening, the beginning of a highly successful weekend for the club.
The party were well entertained by the singing duo during an excellent meal served by Occasions Catering.
Compere for the evening Alison Conroy from Radio Clyde then introduced experienced guest speaker Willie Allan who quite literally had his audience rolling in the aisles with his fund of anecdotes from his teaching days and other ‘pursuits.’
Following a highly successful auction, the music for the remainder of a great night was provided by the Fever Show Band.
A few ‘sair hieds’ were reported on Saturday morning along with tired legs from the ‘jigging’ but to be fair a few of the ladies present showed terrific stamina by also be on the guest list in hospitality at the local derby on the Saturday afternoon.
Take a bow!
Thanks to everyone who supported the event either in person or by donating a raffle or auction prize.
Also a word for the Directors who worked tirelessly behind the bar on the night to keep the ladies refreshed. The hardest work most of them will have done in years!
A special and big thank you from the Directors of Forfar Athletic Football Club to Lesley Deas and Jacqui Williamson for all the time and effort for many weeks they put in to organise the event.
We are sure the undoubted success of the evening made it all worthwhile.
Well done Ladies.
