Forfar Athletic Manager Jim Weir has brought a fifth new face on board at Station Park with the signing of midfield player Ross Forbes on a two-year contract.
The thirty-year-old was Dumbarton’s skipper last season during a second spell with the ‘Sons.’
His senior career began as an 18-year-old at Motherwell where he made over seventy-first team appearances during a five-year stay.
Partick Thistle was his next ‘port of call’ before stints with Dunfermline Athletic and Morton.
In fact, Ross made in excess of one hundred first team appearances for the Cappielow club before moving to Dumbarton last summer.
He went on to net an impressive thirteen goals from his midfield berth in forty-three appearances for Jim Duffy’s side last term.
Ross was pinpointed as a major target by Jim Weir earlier this month and he is, to say the least, delighted to have secured his services until the summer of 2021.
