Two New Faces at Station Park

Jim Weir has bolstered his injury-hit squad ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Raith Rovers with the signing of utility player Archie Macphee from Formartine United and striker Russell McLean from Montrose, both on temporary transfers till early January.
Archie who is equally at home in defence or midfield is well known to the Forfar Athletic boss as they worked together at Elgin City.
Jim was, in fact, keen to bring the 26-year-old player to Station Park in the close season but a deal did not materialise at that time.
Archie will in all probability become the first Stornoway born player to wear the ‘Loons’ colours although he now resides in Inverness.
Russell is a 21 year old forward who is based in Stenhousemuir and he began his senior career with Alloa Athletic before making the move to Links Park.
