The SPFL have this afternoon confirmed that the SPFL League One campaign will commence on Saturday, October 17th with each of the participants playing one another three times instead of the normal four.
This is in line with the SPFL Championship, with confirmation still awaited but likely to be in the pipeline that League Two will follow suit.
It is likely that League One outfits may have a couple of Betfred League Cup ties prior to the commencement of the league campaign but this has still to be confirmed.
It was interesting that at the First Minister’s briefing this very lunchtime, Scottish Health supremo Jason Leitch when pressed on the subject by Glenn Campbell of the BBC hinted that hopefully supporters would be back in grounds by early October, but to be fair he stressed that this was not ‘set in stone.’
