Of The Loons
The good news for ‘Loons’ fans and for Marc himself, in particular, is that the injury which forced him off within six minutes of the kick-off in last Saturday’s local derby is hopefully not as bad as first feared.
The diagnosis is that he has strained a quad muscle to some degree, but all going well he could be fighting fit and raring to go by the time Airdrieonians are due to visit Station Park on November 21st.
In the meantime the Station Park management team are in the process of hopefully fixing up a backup keeper to see the club through the next three fixtures, two away to Cove Rangers, one in the league, the other in the Betfred Cup, a visit from Highland League champions Brora Rangers in the same cup competition sandwiched in between on Tuesday evening of next week.
Daniel Hoban who replaced Marc against the ‘Gable Endies’ will assume the number one jersey for this weekend’s trip to the Granite City.
