Of The Loons
It is now four games unbeaten with a record of two draws and two victories for the ‘Loons’ under the management of Ray McKinnon with a visit to Forthbank Stadium in Stirling on Saturday first next on the cinch league2 ‘menu.’
Albion currently sit in second place in the league table on the thirty point mark and in fact defeated Forfar 4-1 at Station Park back in late September.
However there is little doubt that the Athies will go into the contest in confident mood taking recent improved performances into account.
This fixture is of course Forfar’s last scheduled league game of 2022 and even this early in the week there is a chance of a ‘spanner in the works.’
The wintry weather which hit the country in the latter stages of last week saw the Forthbank pitch declared unplayable on Saturday past when it was to due to stage the Lowland League top of the table clash between the University of Stirling and Tranent Juniors.
Conditions have worsened since and we can only hope that the weather forecasters who are predicting a continuation of especially the overnight frosts for most of the remainder of the week have got it wrong.
Only time will tell.
