Forfar Athletic v Arbroath – Match Arrangements

The Premier Sports Cup group stages come to a conclusion on Saturday first with the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park hosting a mouth watering derby fixture between the ‘Loons’ and Arbroath.

The home side despite encouraging moments in all three fixtures to date have still to register a win and will be going all out to rectify that situation against the ‘Lichties.’

The Gayfield outfit go into the game on the back of a 6-0 hammering of Annan Athletic on Tuesday evening. They still have a slim chance of progressing to the second stage of the competition as one of the top three runners-up, but apart from requiring three points from Saturday’s contest, they would also require a handful of results elsewhere to go their way.

Added spice is however added to the clash as with all four Angus senior outfits in different leagues in the season ahead, local derbies will be restricted to the cup competitions and therefore at a premium, meaning a victory and the bragging rights that will bring if achieved this weekend of utmost importance.

Hopefully supporters of both sides will give their backing on the day to their favourites, the match having the usual 3pm. kick-off.

However CASH ONLY turnstiles will also be available on the day.

The terracing will be accessible by utilising the main turnstile block in Carseview Road and they will be open from 2.15pm.

The 1984 Lounge at the ground will be open from 12.30pm. till kick-off and on the final whistle till approximately 8pm.
