Thank You

It will be a happy Sunday for all of a ‘Loons’ persuasion with a fourth successive home win procured against Stirling Albion in almost tropical conditions at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park yesterday afternoon.
Once again a pat on the back to the home support of all ages who turned out in numbers and gave superb backing to their side, especially after we went one down in the first half. Rest assured this vocal support from stand and terracing is so appreciated by Jim, Gavin and the players and ‘lang’ may it continue.
A special word of thanks to our match sponsors for yesterday’s game those great supporters of the ‘Loons’ cause Fred and Rosemary Stephen. Their party of family and friends appeared to have a great day out and on a day when there must have been at least a handful of strong candidates, they chose two goal Martin Rennie as their Man of the Match, Rosemary carrying out the presentation honours.

All four hospitality lounges were as ever full to capacity with patrons old and new.
Thanks again to the Directors of well known local business Andrew Shepherd Construction for their long standing backing in this regard which is so appreciated and to Liam Godfrey of L&M Scaffolding a new name on the roster for his support. Both parties not surprisingly given the fare on offer both on and off the field had a great day it appeared.
Colin Anderson a keen Forfar Athletic fan of long standing, now domiciled in Dunblane, his family and friends were in great form in the Archie Knox Lounge, Colin’s father and Willie Barker introducing a few to the delights of a rusty nail or two!
Daniel Buchan and his mates year on year supporters of the Station Park Hospitality Experience were in their usual good form in the Ian McPhee Lounge on the day.
Thanks to Colin and Daniel for organising these most welcome groups.
Finally thanks to our ball sponsor yesterday well known Forfarian and ‘Loons’ season ticket holder Tom Prophet and his family. It was a pleasure to see Tom no mean player himself in a strong Forfar East End side of some vintage in good form in the boardroom both before and after the on field action.
Somewhat disappointingly our next home league fixture is four weeks away, Dumbarton our next visitors on the 13th of September.
Two tough away league games lie in wait against Spartans and East Kilbride over the next two weekends with a midweek trip to Montrose in the KDM Trophy scheduled for Tuesday the 26th.
Die hard ‘Loons’ fans though will have the opportunity to see their side in action on home ‘soil’ on Saturday 6th September when Dundee’s youngsters will be the opponents on match day three of the KDM competition.
