Forfar Athletic v Annan Athletic – Match Information
[Tuesday, 16 September 2025 11:19]
Following three successive defeats in the William Hill League2, the ‘Loons’ will look to get back to winning ways when Annan Athletic are the visitors to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on Saturday first.
This fixture is the third of a run of four consecutive home fixtures in the league and KDM Trophy for Jim Weir’s side, but on the flip side for the second time already this campaign, following this Saturday’s encounter we will not be at home on points gathering mode for a further four week spell.
The sides have already met this season on the opening weekend of the Premier Sports Cup group stage, the final score line 1-1 down in the Borders after ninety minutes of action in temperatures in the low thirties, the ‘Loons’ clinching a bonus point in the subsequent penalty shoot-out.
The Galabank outfit sit on the five point mark at present in the league standings, two points adrift of Stuart Morrison and his colleagues, but head north on the back of a 6-0 thrashing at home to Clyde on Saturday past. As they say however ‘beware the wounded animal’, but no doubt Annan’s thought process will be along similar lines!
The match on Saturday will have the usual 3pm. kick-off.
