Forfar Athletic v Partick Thistle – Match Information
[Tuesday, 25 November 2025 08:58]

Five of the ‘Loons’ next six fixtures in league and cup will take place at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park before the end of the calendar year and what a cracker to start with. On Saturday first William Hill Championship high flyers will be the visitors in the third round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup.
The home side will go into the game in buoyant mood following three away victories on the bounce, the last two yielding six vital league points and astonishingly eight goals with Stuart Morrison, Scott Shepherd and Martin Rennie finding the net on both occasions. However all connected with the Club realise what a hard task lies ahead of them this coming weekend against a side who if they secure victory over Dunfermline Athletic at Firhill in midweek will go equal on points with the leaders of tier two namely St. Johnstone whom they beat 2-1 in Maryhill on Saturday past.
An exciting ninety minutes hopefully lies in wait and with Partick likely to bring a substantial following, ‘Loons’ officials are hopeful that locals also will turn out in their numbers to lend their backing to Jim Weir and his players on the day.
