Thank You

Thank You
Thanks again in the first instance today to the loyal ‘Loons’ fan base who turned up and lent their excellent backing to their side yesterday afternoon. Sadly it turned out to be a disappointing ninety minutes with the supporters not getting the pre-Christmas present of three points they craved.
After falling two goals behind in the second period, the players gave their all to try and rescue a point and only a dubious decision by the stand side assistant in the dying embers denied them that reward.
Everyone at the club will now have to enjoy the Christmas festivities, re-group and welcome Elgin City to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park on Saturday first for what is in some ways a must win game.
Our match sponsor for the visit of Edinburgh City was that great supporter in many a different way of the ‘Loons’ cause for some number of years Iain Bett. Iain has been unstinting in his backing of the Athies in good times and in bad and despite the end result which put a slight dampener on the occasion, it was good to see his party of relatives and friends enjoy their day.
After much deliberation they chose Mackenzie Lemon as their Forfar Athletic Man of the Match, Iain’s grandson doing the presentation honours.
Thanks again Iain for your most welcome support.

Thanks also to the four parties who on the day enjoyed the delights of the Station Park Hospitality Experience. A party from HBB GeoSales Ltd led by Bruce Craik were on a return visit, the other groups organised by Barry Laing, Aiden Carrol and Scott Kydd all as ever most welcome guests.
Thanks again for this superb support and haste ye back.
Finally former ‘Loons’ youth team player Ryan Stirton hosted a few mates in the 1984 Lounge which included his former team mate Jason King. It was good to see them all back ‘round the ropes’ and thanks lads for the support.
As mentioned above Elgin City head to the ‘toonie’ this coming weekend, ‘derby’ day in the fourth tier of the SPFL, but prior to that we wish all supporters from near and far a very Merry Christmas Day.
