Thank You

Firstly today many thanks to the 545 supporters who braved the elements at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park at yesterday’s home game with Stranraer. A special word to the pocket of visiting fans who made the near 400 mile round trek, trust all got home safe and sound.
The home support certainly as has been the case week in week out this season certainly got behind their team, even during periods in the second half when we were to be fair hanging on by the ‘skin of our teeth'.
All were rewarded with a superb equalising goal from Jake Sutherland in added on time.
A special thank you to our match sponsors on Saturday Parkgrove Funeral Directors from Friockheim. The company have been superb supporters of the ‘Loons’ over the last twelve months, their financial backing over that period second to none.
Many thanks to their Managing Director Ken Park for that support which is so appreciated by all at Station Park and it was great to see Elaine, Chris and their group have such an ‘pleasant’ afternoon and early evening enjoying the action on the field as well as the delights of the Sam Smith Lounge.
Craig Slater was their choice on the day as the home side’s Man of the Match.

All four main hospitality lounges were as ever full to capacity and it was great to welcome back four parties all ‘weel kent’ faces nowadays thanks to their continued backing of the Athies cause in this manner for probably more years than they care to remember.
Thanks to Scott Dryden, Craig Fotheringham, Ray Martin and Kevin Milne for organising their various groups once again.
The 1984 Lounge table was occupied on Saturday by Angus Barnett and Friends, Angus having purchased the package in the auction at our Golf Day in August. Thanks Angus for your backing.
The ‘Loons’ management, players and supporters get a wee break this coming Saturday having unfortunately exited the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup at the third round stage. Our scheduled league opponents on the 17th Spartans are however still in the competition and their fourth round tie with Inverness Caley Thistle naturally takes precedence. no
However before that Craig Slater and his colleagues will hopefully be back in action in just over 48 hours time with a Tuesday night visit to Glasgow scheduled for the far from small matter of a tie in the last sixteen of the KDM Evolution Trophy against Queens Park. Milder weather is forecast for the next couple of days in the west, so the tie is likely to go ahead at the second time of asking.
Our next scheduled William Hill League2 fixture is on the 24th of the month when Stirling Albion will be in town.
